The iPhone 13 is the first major update this year for Apple's older phones, meaning even more features and changes will be coming to a few older iPhones. As usual, there are some new designs on the iPhone 12 which people like so much that it might as well go right now instead of waiting for an inevitable release from carriers. That being said, we still have a lot to look forward to when it comes time for the new models to emerge. What we hope for is more color options and design choices, both new and old. We already got a glimpse at the next generation with last week's iOS 14 unveiling and we thought it would be crazy to not get a full preview of what's coming in Apple's newest phone, and you might want to check out my piece here if you're curious.

The iPhone 13 starts this month and will cost the same thing as the iPhone 12 at $699. It may not come with a case and will only start at 128GB and 128GB with 256GB. With a 6.1-inch Retina display, 4GB RAM and a MagSafe charger, it'll also come with stereo speakers and a headphone jack for those who want them for music and video calls. All of these things are expected of the brand new models but a few other features such as Cinematic Lighting have been hinted at by our sources and could be coming soon as well.

You'll find a bit more info on all of this in the product listing below. A good one for this upcoming model, according to MacRumors, it's the best camera system available yet and boasts "the most advanced dual aperture ever seen in a smartphone." This model could likely be called the greatest iPhone camera ever created as it has one of the highest image sensors in a mobile device. More than that though, its wide selection of zoom lenses can help with taking amazing pictures even when you think they might be looking tiny due to how big the sensor can get. For example, there's going to be a telephoto lens for high-end shots or a macro lens for close up shots. In addition to this, our source says it's going to have the biggest battery iPhone ever, allowing users to take advantage of faster charging speeds as well. Lastly, expect the latest processor for everything you do and every game you play. It comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, allowing you to store all of your digital files and photos in the cloud.

One big question many Apple fans have is whether the company is going to stick with using power saver technology within iPhones for over a decade? Some even speculate that Apple will just retire the original 3G wireless data connection and bring a newer version. Whether this really means anything, however, remains to be seen. For now, however, it sounds like this model will retain 5G cellular support. Hopefully that will allow for better signal levels and performance to everyone. To top it off, it can currently support sub-6GHz Wi-Fi as well as Bluetooth 5.0. Expect two rear cameras, including a 48MP main shooter and an 8MP ultrawide angle shooter. There are rumors saying these will have different focal lengths for night mode and dynamic range, while others are reporting triple lenses around this model.

With just five days left before the launch, here's what we know about the iPhone 13 line: 1) Apple is releasing four versions of the iPhone 13, including two models each with a variety of different configurations 2) The iPhone 13 will be priced similar to last year's model but will come with upgrades to several areas 3) These devices will include the classic colors (blue and green), black and white and silver. 4) They'll only come in stainless steel (for front) and a limited number of color choices (pink and coral). 5) Rumors for a couple of weeks suggest those lucky enough to get a special edition can pick a pair with Apple's own AirPods for free. And while the standard iPhone 13 doesn't have any special advantages over previous models, there are improvements and design changes. At least one rumor suggests they won't have a magnetic back or be able to reverse-polarize their screen. So far other leaks have made more specific predictions for the iPhone 12, which suggest it'll drop earlier in 2021. However, we also see another report stating the iPhone 13 could just be a rerelease, possibly one similar to the iPod Touch. Either way, the models will have new colors, and with the release of a 7.2-inch iMac screen on the horizon, there could be a few possibilities too.

If you're interested in checking out the iPhone 13, you'll be able to shop it by yourself very soon. If you have an existing iPhone, there isn't any need to buy a whole new device with either storage, memory or whatever. But that does mean your iPhone might eventually stop supporting all of that. Or you might get a new one. Of course, like previous generations, we'll have to wait and see how Apple handles the issue. While we don't know what we're expecting from the iPhone 13 we do know we've received confirmation of several features that we've wanted to see. Perhaps the most important one is improved photo and videography, which is something consumers could probably agree with. Another is better Siri integration across all the other interfaces, which should be the killer app for iPhone owners. Whatever the choice, there are many reasons why the iPhone 11 was an absolutely incredible gadget in its day. Now it seems the iPhone 12 is getting a massive makeover too.
